The following is my repsonse to Lorne Lanning, the creator of Oddworld, who responded when asked about the Switch 'I have no faith in the Swith'.

Well some people just don't know what they're talking about and unfortunately because they made a game that was relevant one to two decades ago, they get an audience.

So he doesn't have faith in the Switch because the only games selling well on the Wii was Nintendo's. Really?! The reason why games didn't sell well on the Wii was because so many people bought a Wii for Wii Sports and bought nothing else.

For the most part, other than parents for young children, the only ones buying games for the Wii were the Nintendo die hards. They were also the only ones who went on to buy a Wii U. Most 'true' gamer's played on PC, Xbox and PlayStation.

From everything I can see, that is not the case with the Switch. So many people who were never into the Wii or Wii U, want a Switch. The fact it continues to sell out 4 months after release is a testament to that. The Wii U never sold out, even on day one. Heck, the Switch is my first Nintendo home console since the N64.

It's ultimately his loss and other third party and triple A games gain, as even mediocre and highly priced games like Bomberman have sold quite well.
