All-New X-Men #7

It's a light week for me with just 4 issues, and 2 of them are brand new number ones. Of the two I'm continuing to read, All-New X-Men #7 has me the most excited. This series caught my interest from issue 1, with Xavier dead and Cyclops on Magnetos side it certainly had an intriguing start. Throw in time travel and the original 60's X-Men brought forward to help bring Scott (Cyclops) back to the X-Men, and I'm fully hooked. I've been looking forward to this issue.

Superior Spider-Man #3

Superior Spider-Man has a somewhat interesting concept. I say somewhat because it really depends on where Dan Scott takes it. In the last issue of Amazing Spider-Man, the dying Otto Octavius switches his mind with Peter Parker who dies in Otto's body. Memories of Peter surface in Otto and he vows to continue being not just Spider-Man, but a superior one. At the end of issue 1 of this series we see Peter stop Otto from killing and it really sets the tone for the issues to come. So far I'm not in love with the series, but I'm interested enough to keep reading. Two consciousness fight for control of one body is not a new idea, but there's always room for something new to be done with it.

Fearless Defenders #1

I know nothing of the Fearless Defenders, but of the new books I'm reading, it was an easy pick as writer Cullen Bunn was behind one of my favorite series, the Sixth Gun. The previews of the comic book looked promising as did the excellent art of Will Sliney. I'm really hoping for a win with this book.

Snapshot #1

My last pick of the week is from my favorite publisher, Image. I know given the number of Marvel books this week it doesn't look the case, but I can assure you, it's true. This book was picked initially because I wanted more then 3 new books to read. So I took a close look at all the coming Image books for this week and Snapshot definitely caught my eye. I've really come to love black and white comics, so the artwork was initially what caught my eye. After reading what the series was about I decided to make it my forth for the week. It's a story of a typical nerd who finds a cell phone with images of a murder and the hit man wants his phone back and the main character in a body bag. I'm looking forward to how this 4 part series plays out.
